Hello
everyone! I apologize for being MIA for the last little while. I had pneumonia
and didn’t feel up to do anything. But I am better now, so the posts will be
back most every day.
So this
is probably a little late now, but this is my June Glossybox!
This is the first
glossybox I have received and I am not disappointed despite a lot of people
complaining that the samples are more drugstore brands than luxurious samples.
I still enjoyed the excitement of waiting for my box!
Anyways,
to start off I got the Biore Combination Skin Balancing Cleanser. I have tried
this out and I am not crazy about it. I have very sensitive acne prone skin so
I have to be very careful what I use on my face to not breakout. This cleanser
did not make me breakout, but I do prefer my current face wash rather than this
Biore.
Next I
got Wella Ocean Spritz Beach Texture Hairspray. I have to say I LOVE LOVE LOVE
this. It works on dry hair and gives awesome beachy waves or curls depending on
how you use it. I have also braided my wet hair in loose big braids after a
shower at night and by the morning time I take them out spritz my hair with the
spray, scrunch or twirl around with my fingers and job is done. Takes 5 minutes
which is great seeing how I start work at 6 am .
Next is
the Venus Embrace razor. This is actually the razor that I currently use so I
know I will like it. 5 blades is better than 4.. or 3..
The last
full size sample has got to be my favourite. The Cover Girl Blast Flip Stick. I
got shade 800 Whisper. It matches me perfectly. You can use each one separately
or blend them together. So it’s like 3 lipsticks in one tube! I will definitely
be buying this one again.
Next I
received a small sample of Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Sunscreen. I don’t normally
use sunscreen (bad I know L), but I did try this sample and I
think its okay. It has an SPF of 55 so that is good, and it doesn’t have that
nasty sunscreen smell most sunscreens do. So if I do choose to wear sunscreen
this will probably be the one I will use.
Lastly, I
received Olay Regenerist Wrinkle Revolution Complex. I am 23 so I don’t have
any wrinkles yet, but it’s never too early to prevent them right?!?! I really
like the texture of the cream and it has a light pleasant smell. I can not
comment on the way this cream works on wrinkles, but hopefully it will keep
them away for many years.
So that
was my first glossybox. I cant wait to get July’s Glossybox J

Dry
Hair?
I
have naturally very dry hair and after all the dieing, highlights, lowlights,
BLEACH etc. it has left me with even drier and damaged hair. I have tried many
different oil and cream deep conditioning treatments hoping to repair some
damage. After many purchases I found that I got the best results from Ion
Extreme Moisture Crème. I buy it from Sally’s Beauty Supply. It’s an 8oz tube
for $8.99. They even have little packets of the treatment too. It’s a good way
to try it out without buying large size. I suggest doing that as I tried
probably 10 different treatments before I found the one that works the best for
me. Below is a picture of the product.
I
deep condition my hair about once a week. On the bottle it says to leave it in
for 1-2 minutes or 3-5 minutes for drier hair, but after I saturate my hair in
the product, I bag my hair and leave it on for at least 20 minutes. Whenever I
bag my hair I always get much better results. The bag traps in all the heat
from my scalp, opening the cuticles on my hair which makes it easier for my
hair to absorb all the moisture from the treatment. Sometimes I even turn my
blow drier on low and heat my hair slightly through the bag. I don’t do that
for the whole 20 minutes though. Also, always remember to rinse your hair in
luke warm water; almost cooler than warmer if that makes sense. The cool water
will help close the cuticles on your hair keeping moisture in.
After
using Ion Extreme Moisture Crème for about 3 weeks (3 treatments) I noticed a
big difference in my hair.
Hope
this helps all the ladies whose locks are longing for moisture like mine were!

Hard
Candy Cosmetics Review
Blush Crush Baked Blush in Living Doll
Really nice colour in palette but I found it a little hard to
show on my face. I had to use a lot more blush than I normally would, but did
like the way it looked once I got it to show.
Sheer Envy Primer
After a lot of negative reviews on this product I was very
skeptikal to try it. After I did try it I was pleasantly surprised. I currently
use Revlon Beyond Natural Primer and I think I will switch to Hard Candy’s
primer.
Glow all the Way Face and Body Luminizer 319 Dollface
I really would like to use this product if I am going out at night. It
gives a nice shimmery, sparkly glow. I have only used this on my body not on my face, but I could see it being nice on cheeks.
You just have to be careful how much you use because it is VERY shimmery. First
time I used it, it looked like I jumped into a barrel of sparkles. Also it has
no scent so it wont get in the way of your perfume. J
Plumping Serum Volumizing Lip Gloss
This product I wasn’t too impressed with. The colour was super
light and it didn’t give me that tingley feeling most plumping glosses do. I
prefer sexy motherpucker over this hard candy anyday.
Overall I was pretty impressed with Hard Candy. The primer and luminizer I will purchase again, but the blush and lip gloss I will pass on.
What Hard Candy Products have you tried? Tell me what you think!!

OMBRE NAILS
So this next post is ombre nails picture tutorial. I was going to attempt my first video tutorial, but my web cam just stopped working for some reason, so thats why it's a picture tutorial. I know most people usually do manicure tutorials, but I get gel nails done, so I did a pedicure tutorial. But this also will work great on a manicure.
*This is the first time I have tried this technique so it is not perfect!!!*
First step is to prepare your nails by cleaning, trimming and filing.
Next, paint your nails with two coats of white nail polish. My white nail polish was a little clumpy so I used CHI Ceramic Nail Lacquer in Milkshake colour. White will work better as it will make the colours 'pop' a little more, especially if you are using light colours.
After you have painted your two coats you need to get a makeup sponge.
Cut the sponge so it fits the size of your nail. A little bigger than your nail is good so you have something to hold onto.
After you cut the sponge, pick a few colours that you would like to use. I suggest 2-3 colours. 4 seems like it would be a little too crowded. Paint your chosen colours on the sponge.
After you have painted the sponge your chosen colours, dab in on to your nail either making horizontal or vertical stripes.
After you dab the polish on your nail you will need to clean up your skin around the nail. Use a Q-Tip and nail polish remover.
Next you can either try to do this technique on the rest of your nails but toe nails are rather small so I just painted the rest of my nails solid colours using the colours I used on my big toe!
After that all you need to do is put a top coat on and you're done! =)
I hope you all enjoyed this, and I bet yours will look a lot better than mine. Keep in mind this is the first time I have ever attempted this technique.
SIDE NOTES: Make sure your first two coats of white polish are completely dry before sponging them or it gets messy looking. My white polish was not completely dry and mine definitely got very messy.

How Much Does Your Face Cost??
Okay so this is something I seen on one of the blogs that I follow. I thought it was a pretty cool idea. Most everybody said that after doing this that they need to limit their spending on their cosmetics, but after doing this I realise I can spend more than I have been!! So below is a picture of what I use on my face for a normal morning make up routine and the approximate prices listed below. You should all try this too and let me see how you all do!!
Revlon beyond natural primer $15
No7 concealer $7
Almay clear complexion foundation $13
Cover Girl Pressed Powder $8
MAC Finishing Powder $30
Loreal True Match Blush $8
Revlon Crème Shadow $11
EyeLiner $6
Liquid Liner $9 (Never
made it in the picture somehow)
Revlon Lash Curler $7
Rimmel Volume Accelorator Mascara (top Lashes) $10
Maybelline Great Lash Mascara (Bottom Lashes) $5
No7 Lip Colour $8
Total $137
Brushes… I don’t know about these prices. I just included
them because all the other 'face cost' blogs had them.

So what did you all think of Hannah's short hair to start this season?? I think it's cute but personally I miss her long locks.
I am so excited to watch tonights episode. So glad Aria's mom is maybe sort of being more open to Aria and Ezra, but what is gunna happen with those pictures of the girls at the graveyard?? What's going to happen to Alison's dug up body? Who was Emily with? So many questions!!! I guess I will just have to wait and find out!

So I don't know if any of you have heard of nail stamps, but I just recently found out about them. I don't think they are a new thing so I guess I was just oblivious to this amazing creation. This is definitely something I am going to try out. I love painting nails and making beautiful creations and this makes it look so easy and give it that professional look. Below are some pics of stamped nails...
Looks difficult right??? WRONG!!!!!
Watch this youtube tutorial on how to stamp your own nails.
So where do you buy these stamps you ask???
Well I normally just go to Sally's Beauty Supply for my hair and nail needs, but they don't have a great selection of the stamp plates, so my search went online. I found www.nailpolishcanada.com
They have an awesome selection of plates with a very comparable price with Sally`s.
nailpolishcanada.com also has an amazing selection of good quality brands of nail polish, tools and accessories.
If you like to paint your nails or just want to save some money and still get that salon look definitely give nail stamps a try.

Well I am not much of a writer but I have a few things on my mind lately and I can't stop thinking about them.. I'm loosing sleep over them so it's time to air this out. lol. Well, one at a time anyways.
So lately I have been thinking a lot about what I want to do when I “grow up”. I am 23 years old and I still feel just as lost about a career choice as I did when I was in high school. I have had a few different jobs in a few different fields. I worked in sales, in an office doing accounting and payroll and now I work in the health care industry in general services. None of these jobs I required any type of education besides a high school diploma. I never feel like I am fully satisfied with any job I have held. A lot probably has to do with the salary I receive, which isn’t poor but by no means do I make a lot. I think I fear growing old and have never have done anything recognizable as a career choice. I’m not saying I want to have some job where I have a significant impact on the world or anything, but just something I can be proud of. Something people close to me can be proud of.
Have any of you ever heard of glossybox.ca ? I just happened to stubble across it and what it is, is you pay $15.00 per month and this company will send you five different products a month. You dont even have to pay shipping! Sounds pretty interesting to me. There are always new products that I see that I am just to scared to try out for the first time. This is an easy way to try them out and not break the bank! I am going to be ordering this week, so I will post pics and let you all know what kind of stuff comes in it!!!
Wish me luck!!!
Check it out for yourselves
